Welcome to the Beacon Academy Loughborough
Making our Best Better
We believe this means to us, all children will:
* Gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to fulfill their potential and strive to exceed this daily in all that they do.
* Develop a love of learning and enjoy their time at the Academy through a creative and innovative curriculum and use new ideas and technology.
* Make lifelong friends and develop a respect for all in our community, with our inclusive provision where every child has a personalised learning journey.
* Have a variety of exciting experiences and develop their understanding of the wider world; enjoy enterprise experiences and skills to broaden their horizons.
We will work closely with families, the Academies Enterprise Trust, the local community, our network of schools and Academies in this shared endeavour.
Message from Mark Roberts, Executive Headteacher
I am sure some of you will be aware that my time at Beacon Academy is drawing to an end and I couldn't let this opportunity pass without saying a few words.
I know I am leaving the Academy in a more secure and stable position than when I arrived four terms ago and I hope the growing excellence seen in many aspects of the work of the Academy gives you as much confidence for the future as it does us. Rarely have I worked with colleagues more dedicated and committed to educating children or parents more supportive of an academy and the staff. It has been a privilege to lead a great team of colleagues and I am sure the changes we have implemented will allow Beacon to continue to improve its educational outcomes for years to come.
I leave with great memories and hopefully lasting friendships borne out of working so closely with everyone connected with Beacon. I am leaving the Academy in excellent hands and will watch its progress from afar but hope to visit next year on a number of occasions.
Finally, it has been a pleasure to be around such wonderfully happy children, growing in poise and confidence; I wish them every success for their futures.

Firstly, may I wish everyone a Happy New Year and welcome you all back to an exciting term at Beacon Academy. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Headteacher at Beacon. I have worked in inner city schools for over 10 years and have a lot of experience in helping to raise standards for all pupils in a primary setting.
Over this term I will be working hard with the rest of the staff to help our children achieve the best they can. We believe that every child has incredible potential and our primary aim at Beacon is to tap into that potential so that all children achieve their best.
Most days you will be able to find me outside of school as the children arrive in the morning and leave at the end of the day. Please feel free to introduce yourself over the coming weeks.
I am looking forward to working with you.
