Welcome to the Beacon Academy Loughborough

Making our Best Better

We believe this means to us, all children will:

* Gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to fulfill their potential and strive to exceed this daily in all that they do.
* Develop a love of learning and enjoy their time at the Academy through a creative and innovative curriculum and use new ideas and technology.
* Make lifelong friends and develop a respect for all in our community, with our inclusive provision where every child has a personalised learning journey.
* Have a variety of exciting experiences and develop their understanding of the wider world; enjoy enterprise experiences and skills to broaden their horizons.

We will work closely with families, the Academies Enterprise Trust, the local community, our network of schools and Academies in this shared endeavour.

Message from Mrs Bussell, Head Teacher

Firstly, may I wish everyone a warm welcome back following our Summer break.

Over this term I will be working hard with the rest of the staff to help our children achieve the best they can.  We believe that every child has incredible potential and our primary aim at Beacon is to tap into that potential so that all children achieve their best.

Most days you will be able to find me outside of school as the children arrive in the morning and leave at the end of the day.  Please feel free to introduce yourself over the coming weeks.

Mrs Louise Bussell

Head Teacher

  • TESCO BID FOR 'BAGS FOR LIFE' The academy was successful in winning £10,000 from Tesco through the 'Bags for Life' scheme.  This money has been used to develop the grassed area on the Key Stage 1 and 2 playground.  Please see below the pictures of our fantastic finished area which is being used very effectively by our children for quieter games and activities.  Our intention is that the children will be able to use the area for lessons when the weather improves.
