Homework - Years 1 and 2

Key Stage 1 Homework

Dear Parents,

Your child will have homework every half term to cover the current topic. This gives you a great opportunity to share the learning that is going on at school and get involved.  Examples will be given for ideas you can do at home together.  Please continue to read every night with your child as this builds upon the phonic skills they are working on and increases confidence.  Tricky words will be stuck onto the back page of the pink homework book.  These words have to be learnt by sight rather than sounding them out.  It is very important that homework is completed and returned by the Monday of the final week of each half term.  This ensures the children's work can be celebrated in our homework assemblies and images can be shared on the News page for Years 1 and 2.  We are really looking forward to seeing what the children have created with you at home!

Please ensure your child hands in their homework to be marked every Thursday.  If you would like your child to attend the After School Club to do their homework, then please ask at the office for a booking form.
