Special Educational Needs & Disabilities

SEND at Beacon Academy

Parents who chose the Beacon Academy will not be disappointed with the high quality of teaching and learning their child receives from 2-11yrs.  We believe that every teacher is a teacher of every child, including those with SEND.  We are highly dedicated in providing inclusion in every area of learning for all children.  Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) support is provision that is additional to, or different from, that generally made for others of the same age.  This means provision goes beyond the differentiated approaches and learning arrangements routinely provided, as part of high quality, personalised teaching.  It may take the form of additional support from within the Academy, or require the involvement of specialist staff or support services.

Below you will find a direct links to various Special Educational Needs & Disabilities information, including our Policy. This Policy contains all of the information about the Specialist Provision, from its aims and objectives to the curriculum and the Behaviour Policy in place.
